About the Project

Notre Dame and Gargoyle

This project explores the art of Gothic calligraphy through the creation of a composition that features the name of a renowned cathedral rendered in ink using a traditional nib, paired with a detailed pencil illustration of a gargoyle resting on one of the building’s capitals. The artwork is entirely handcrafted, with the digital version serving only as a faithful reproduction. The lettering is executed in the ‘Gothic Fraktur’ style, reflecting both historical accuracy and expressive visual character
